Function Description of the Dipper Star 2 lamps Lead-Acid Charger
1. Charging Circuit Structure, Parameters and Efficiency
The Dipper Star 2 lamps charger is a single-tube flyback topology circuit. It is suitable for electric bicycles, electric tricycles, low-speed four-wheel vehicles, etc. The input voltage is 220V at 50Hz. The normal charging efficiency is approximately 85%. It is applicable to various charging scenarios.
II. Protection Functions:
Short-circuit Protection: Use a wire with an area greater than 1mm² (with a short-circuit resistance less than 50mΩ) and connect it in series with the output end of the charger, or use an electronic load for short-circuiting. Remove the connection after 15 seconds, and the charger should be able to work normally.
Time Limit Protection: The charger should charge continuously within the efficient charging zone for no more than 8 hours; within the high-voltage charging zone for no more than 3 hours; the total charging time in the efficient zone and the high-voltage zone should not exceed 10.5 hours.
Reverse Connection Protection: Connect a current meter in series at the output end of the charger, and connect the fully charged battery pack (whose capacity is indicated in the user manual) with the positive and negative terminals of the input end reversed. Keep it for 10 minutes and then disconnect. Observe whether the reading of the current meter is always less than 5mA. After reconnecting correctly, check if the charger is working normally.
Delay Cut-off: When the charger enters the high-voltage charging zone, use a timer to record the time when it transitions to the trickle charging state or is cut off; when the charger enters the equalizing charging mode, use a timer to record the time when the output current is cut off, or when the reading of the current meter drops to less than 5mA.
AC Power Supply Line CCC: The input power supply line of the charger meets the CCC certification requirements, mainly involving core indicators such as electrical safety, mechanical strength, and environmental adaptability.
